yesterday's activities included working on directory sync, getting my hair cut (more like a shape-up), opening a pack of pokémon cards (sword and shield era), and failing to remember how my lofi 12 works. also i'm reading a new old book. it's supposed to be a sci-fi classic (at least i think), but i'm still reeling from the cringe dialog.. it's very much 'from an era'..
i won't reveal the book yet.. i want to give it a proper chance before i etch my opinions into the atproto. but as i mostly read new books, it was a bit rough to get through. and to be honest, i've started skipping some of the dialog. the thing that keeps me going is that i feel there is some potential lurking in the plot. and i just want plot before it go to sleep. feed me the plot.
today i am not working on directory sync, but... i might instruct an 'agent' to do some stuff. i say might, because honestly i feel at this stage it will only mess up; the draft needs editing. so unless i have a very specific task and the energy to write clear instructions... i will leave the ai in its digital cage.
what i do need to do today is figure out my lofi 12 again. it's a groovebox.. and a groovebox is a machine that often features a sampler... and allows you to sequence sounds.. making a groove... and it's also a box.. proper hardware. a groovebox!
anyway, while real buttons and pretty much no real screen on a real machine is fun, when you forget how it works, it is less fun. this is how things used to be. i need a manual. or what is more likely i will just trial and error my way into a subpar workflow.
ok, enough logs. time to start the day.
